OUR MISSION

The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes Department of Transportation has a mission to develop, and deliver and operate comprehensive, reliable and responsive transportation facilities and services on the Fort Hall Reservation. By providing comprehensive transportation services, we enhance the ability of our community/members to receive services, education and address their needs, in a safe and efficient manner, while also enhancing tribal sovereignty and jurisdiction through community operated tribal programs and self-determination opportunities.

SERVICES

The Shoshone-Bannock Transportation Department main function is to service and maintain the Tribal road system.

Ross Fork Creek Road Reconstruction Project

Aug 2020

Finished paving with the three mile reconstruction of Ross Fork Creek Road. To finalize and finish the with new road marking will be in the spring of 2021. The was in a rough state before with horizontal cracking making the road bumping. With this reconstruction we also took out the old gay mine railway that ran through the road thus making the area where it ran through much smoother.

Exit 80 (Fort Hall Interchange) Reconstruction Project

Exit 80 (Fort Hall Interchange) is the primary

entrance into the Fort Hall community from Interstate 15.

The goal of this project is to replace the sixty-year-old interchange with a new structure that will meet the community's needs for many years to come.

Construction is anticipated to begin in 2022.
